Alyx Bell is a California born, London based singer-songwriter and producer whose aim is to help fellow introspective thinkers find their own “quiet power.”

Alyx began her musical journey at age 6 as a classical pianist who eventually taught herself guitar and songwriting, inspired by soul/jazz/folk artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Corinne Bailey Rae, Laura Marling, and Lianne La Havas. Growing up a shy child, her initial musical exploration took place behind closed bedroom doors. She was most encouraged by her mother, who was also a singer and passed away unexpectedly in 2014.

While living in Portland, Oregon in 2019 through 2022, Alyx made a name for herself opening for bands such as More Fatter, Julia Logue, and Maya Elise & The Good Dream. In 2022, after earning a university degree in mechanical engineering and working in the engineering industry for several years, Alyx embarked on a new path to London to grow her music career.

“Man On My Mind” is the debut single from Alyx Bell and was released on February 17th, 2023. The song is an honest reflection of heartache and self-love and features dreamy synths, ethereal strings, and complex 3-part harmony to create a rich and unique sonic palette.
